This is Eco 1...
We are about to begin our ascent eastward toward Manning Park. We plan to camp at a truck pull off area beside the highway en route at 1900 hours.
The great students of C.E. Barry school in Hope gave us some more ideas for reducing the use of Dirty Energy (Oil, Gas, Coal)...
"Every person plant a tree" - Reid
"Use a push grass mower instead of a gas mower" - AJ
"Do a bottle drive in town" - Jessica
"Use solar panels and pads to warm swimming pools" - Martin
"Get people in town to all pick up garbage" - Anthony
"Have a 'Ride your bike' week" - Justin
"Wear hemp clothing" - Katie
Over to you, Mission Control.
This is Eco 1 OUT.

Roger that on your journey toward Manning Park, and docking at 1900 hours, Pacific time.
All of us here at Mission Control are most impressed with the various suggestions from the students of C.E. Barry School on how to reduce Dirty Energy! Good work, fellow Econauts!
Eco 1, please report immediately upon your arrival at tonight's checkpoint.
Happy trails.

Over.
Are you still having trouble with the gear shifter and drive train Eco 1? I might be able to help.
HA - you guys are funny (must be from Ontario...) But just to make a fine point, not all of the mountains in BC are the Rockies! Going east from Vancouver there are several ranges you pass through before you come to the actual "Rockies" (but then again, I'm sure you guys know that now...)

cc,
Yes I discovered the distinction of the different mountain ranges in BC a bit too late.
I confess my ignorance as an eastern Canada guy and beg forgiveness. Thanks for mentioning that, cc.
