Ground Control...
This is Eco1...
We have a problem, Rusty.
Approximately 15 km East of Indian Head, SK we have a punctured tube on the back EcoRocket tire. The tire became worn through to fabric without our notice and we've suffered a punture.
Having replacesd the rear tire and a using the spare tube, we thought we'd be fine. Pumping the tube to 75 psi ( witha 100 psi rating) the tube nipple broke and is now useless.
We've identified the old tube's puncture in a cow manure riddle farm puddle, and now re waiting for the contact glue to dry for the patch.
Problem: We're not sure how long (or if) the patrch will hold. This is the nightmare scenario of being stuck in the middle of rural Saskatchewan without the special Presta type racing inner tube. Next likely place to pick up is Brandon.
We'll see. We'll update if it doesn't work.
Cold and windy at the side of the road. At least it isn't raining...yet.
This is Eco1 Out.
