On our way out of Lethbridge the other day we were pulled over by a police officer. This is our second official run in with law enforcement. All of the other police contact has been amused interest.
Here's what the good officer had to say....
Officer: We actually got a complaint, if you can believe it. Because there's no shoulder on this section of 3 highway, I have to ask you guys to detour a couple of kilometres. I know this is for a good cause, and I hate to ask you.
He then gave us an easy route to follow and a thumbs up. According to Steve Todd, the police are really good in this area. I've got nothing but good things to say about every law enforcement officer (please, don't arrest me!) we've met so far. It's a tough job at times (please, don't arrest me!) and I'm glad there's people out there willing and able to do this important work.
He said: "I know this is for a good cause". How did he know that? We didn't mention our Global Warming cause. Is there and All Points Bulletin (APB) out on the Econauts?
