The book looks at the Winnie The Pooh series as it may relate to the ancient eastern philosophy of Taoism.
Here's what they say...
"Pooh is shown as the...'uncarved block', meaning that he is a blank slate who simply accepting the world as he finds it, not over intellectualizing the world or living in disharmony with it. By contrast Owl is depicted as intellectual for the sake of it, or 'too clever,' while Rabbit is too hasty in his problem-solving, and poor Eeyore is simply too pessimistic to accept the world in front of him."
The message is...be like Winnie The Pooh.
