Checkpoint: Princeton, BC

Mission Control...

This is Eco 1...

We've passed through a digital blackout in the Rockies between Hope and Princeton. We should be connected mostly from here on.

Spent the night in Mule Deer Park (14 bucks) beside a strong river. Great to have a driftwood fire and smoke some wet and a bit smelly clothes.

The night before (Friday?) We camped at the base of the 'Hope Slide'. Both nights we cold - Friday I actually used one of those silver emergency Blankets without much luck.

Operational Report: The back wheel has become distorted due to weight and pot holes. The spokes have to be adjusted - but we don't have the skills. It may be a matter of cycling the 150 km to Penticton before repair.

To night we'll probably camp somewhere between Princeton and Penticton.

This is Eco 1 Over and Out.

Great to hear from you Eco1!

We have all been wondering how you were doing on the dark side of the moon. It is a relief to be back in communication.

The deer by the river sound amazing!

Thanks for your update. And it was great to receive your 2:43 PM (E.S.T.) progress call; based upon the blustery audio, you seemed to be flying along quickly!

Roger your expected docking between Princeton and Penticton. And please confirm arrival at aforementioned check-point.

Penticton, B.C. weather is as follows;

SUNDAY EVENING: 17 degrees, cloudy periods, wind SW @ 10 km/h.

SUNDAY OVERNIGHT: 9 degrees, mainly clear, wind SW @ 5 km/h.

MONDAY MORNING: 12 degrees, cloudy periods, wind S @ 10 km/h.

MONDAY AFTERNOON: 23 degrees, variable cloudiness, wind S @ 10 km/h.

Weather summation: you may not need to resort to using your emergency foil blanket tonight!
