Mission Control...
This is Eco 1...
Light is fading fast, so I must be brief!
MAny great thanks to the fine folks at Penticton's 'The Bike Barn' - especially Sam and Dave - for giving us free fix up parts and about three hours of their expertise at no charge. As Penticton is home to the C*nadian Ironman competition, we went to the pros when we hobbled into The Bike Barn. The EcoRocket now sports one of their stickers. Now everything is in top shape!
Sadly, due to our notice of travel delay - we're actually on schedule still - our Kelowna school cancelled our presentation. That's too bad, but it gives us a jump start on making better time through the Rockies.
Tonight we stay at a tent and RV park on Lakeshore Rdm in Kelowna, then press north along highway 97, up the Okanogan Valley
One funny thing to report: in Penticon, Mallard Ducks walk around town like big city pidgeons.
I can' read the words +I'm typing anymore.
This is Eco 1 Over and Out.

Hey Guys
Great job getting as far as you have, as quickly as you have! It's fantastic that the Bike Barn guys were so kind and generous with their time and parts.
We're enjoying the great pics. It looks like the weather should be pretty nice for the next little while so you won't have to dry your socks by the fire again any time soon!
Saw you at the DQ in Westbank...what did you order? lol
Sue,
Bells are a way to invite Grizzlies to dinner.
Becky,
So many Dairy Queens, so little memory. I do remember one recent DQ at the top of a very long climb.
Think I had a Classic burger and a Buster Bar to celebrate getting that far.
Now I know, I know...I'm not supposed to eat meat because of so many reasons - like cow fart (methane) which is a GHG which causes Global Warming. But...I ain't perfect. Guess I'm more of an evolutionary - not a revolutionary. I'm mostly vegetarian, but do occasionally have a burger. And for my money, DQ's got some of the best.
What'd you get?

people actually order burgers at DQ? who knew? If it's any consolation, i'm sure the real meat content of the burger is rather...low. haha
I had a plain ice cream in a waffle cone, yummmmy!
