Mission Control...
This is Eco 1...
We have arrived at our checkpoint destination in Coldstream - about 10 km west of Vernon. We're camped beside a nice, babbling brook with mallard ducks and giggling girls doing cheers. It's all quite flattering, but not necessary. Really.
Sorry about the reporting delay. We actually arrived about six hours ago, but Major Dude got a little distracted by the wonderful beach here, warm sunny sky and...did you know bikinis are all the rage in Coldstream this time of year?!
Like to thank all the kind comments from back home. It's actually a bit difficult to post comments, I find, on this here Blackberry.
Tomorrow we'll give our Kids Can EcoChallenge presentation to the fine students of Coldstream Elementary. Kids can say the craziest things. They always want to know what happens when it rains inside the velomobile - we get wet.
We plan to press on to Salmon Arm (our next Checkpoint) tomorrow.
The local weather forecast looks good for the next couple of days, Skipper. I'm a bit concerned about the disk brakes at the moment as they seem a bit soft and squeel quite a bit after a fast descent into Vernon today. I'll take a look at adjusting them tomorrow before departure.
Guess that's all for now. Hope you're well.
This is Eco1 Over and Out.
