This weekend, July 7-8th, I plan to be at Toronto's Mountain Equipment C0-op (MEC) store on Saturday and at the Pedestrian Sunday event at Mirvish Village.
MEC is a sponsor for this expedition. The kind people at the Toronto store have allowed me to come in on Saturday, July 7th (07/07/07, lucky day), from 9 am to 6 pm. I'll be there with the EcoRocket on view for MEC members and visitors, answer questions and seek out Individual Sponsors to help fund the remainder of the expedition.
Pedestrian Sunday at trendy Mirvish Village on Sunday is a great idea for closing off this boutique laden street to pedestrians only. My very good friend, Karen Wilson, who owns KarenFoundIt antiques shop on the street helped to organize the whole thing and has kindly invited me to participate from Noon to 6pm on July 8th. Once again, I'll be there with the EcoRocket, flying the EcoFreak flag and looking for sponsors to save the financially troubled expedition.
