The Expedition Will Continue!

The Econaut Team: (left to right) EcoRocket Pilot - Major Dude,
Mission Director - Skipper, Science Advisor - The Doctor,
Ground Controller - Rusty

Major Dude will continue the Kids Can 2007 expedition from the Pacific to Atlantic oceans after a week's layover in Toronto. It was great to meet with the Econaut Team, family and supporters last night at the debriefing. There were many laughs and ideas passed around for the second half of the expedition which should end in September.

One big decision...I have decided to pilot the EcoRocket solo to the final destination of St. John's, Newfoundland. While this will clearly be a difficult challenge, I look forward to the test in the months ahead.

Thanks to the unwavering support of the Econaut Team, I'm still optimistic for expedition success. The EcoRocket will continue on its eastward journey to Quebec and beyond no later than July 11th.

While in Toronto, I will be very busy trying to strengthen the expedition's chance of success by making minor EcoRocket repairs in Bill Melvin's fine garage, meeting with potential individual sponsors for financial support, and keeping you informed of what's going on.

Press on!
