So, slight change of plan...
I will continue to travel on Hwy 138 along the north shore of the St. Laurent river and cross at Quebec City - either by bridge or by ferry to Levis on the south shore.
Don't think it really matters which shore route I take. This way I'll have a chance to see Trois Rivieres and Quebec City, though they'll slow me down.
Guess it's all about freakin' the squares anyway.
Also, have done something to my left knee which is reducing my speed. Will pick up some muscle pills (Advil). Wish some greater pain would distract me.
Other than that, the weather's perfect with blue sky, little wind and flat, scenic terrain.

It looks to me like you should be able to get across on the 175, Pont de Quebec which runs parallel to the 73....or take the ferry about 10k further....but I guess you already know that :)
Looks like you are experiencing some beautiful sites on your eastern journey. Happy to hear the weather is cooperating with you! Just read an article about you in the Belleville Intelligencer! Happy crossing!
