Due to the departure of Captain Utopia and Environment Canada's decision not to financially support a portion of the expedition costs, I'm asking you to consider becoming an 'Individual Sponsor' with financial support to help the Econaut Team complete the Kids Can 2007 expedition.
I will do my very best to physically cross Canada in the EcoRocket, encouraging kids to take the Kids Can EcoChallenge along the way. But I need sponsors now to help pay for some of the cost. I realize I can't complete the expedition without other people's financial support. What Do Individual Sponsors Receive?
The name of each Individual Sponsor will be written on the outside of the EcoRocket so you will ride with Major Dude as he attempts to make an historic first-crossing of Canada's ocean shores in a human-powered velomobile. Also, each Individual Sponsor will have exclusive admittance to Major Dude's expedition presentation in Toronto (Autumn of 2007) where he will dramatically describe his many Econaut adventures. You don't want to miss the story of Major Dude's scary, midnight close encounter with a black bear in Tobermory!
I've resisted asking for sponsorship donations because the expedition is an awareness campaign for people to take action on Global Warming in their daily lives. Unfortunately now - without your help - the expedition will fail because I simply can't afford to pay for its cost on my own.
