At 2:18 PM (E.S.T.) Mission Control received word from Mrs. Shirley Pocock that the Econauts are temporarily without means of electronic communications. It seems Major Dude's cell phone has packed it in, and his Blackberry is in need of drying out due to the substantial amount of rain en route.
The Econauts are now east of Ignace, Ontario, and hope to be arriving in Thunder Bay by Tuesday night, at which point Major Dude plans on purchasing a new cell phone.
Despite the wind and rain in their faces all day, the valiant Econauts still managed to travel 45 km yesterday. And last evening, the wind remained strong but the sun came out and the Econauts were able to "dry out everything but their socks" (and the Blackberry).
