Checkpoint: Falcon Lake, MB

Mission Control...

This is Eco1...

Skipper, tell Baby Doll we've touched down in her old virtual stomping grounds and the beach is everything I'd hoped for and more. I bet the local and big city kids have a lot of fun in the sun at Falcon Beach. Makes me wish I was, well...young again. What a place.

We had an interesting day. Met a fellow cross-country traveller on the road (and his support crew of four). I just found them grabbing a tan on the manicure beach throwing a football around.

Robert is biking, running and rollerblading across Canada on a 10.5 month journey to help raise funds for MS. They're a fun bunch and Robert's the kinda guy you like right away with wall-to-wall charm. I could tell you more, but it's better to let the gang tell you through their website and travel blog. You can find it all at www.crossingbridgesinc.com.

Robert and I agree on one thing for sure - it's better for a cattle truck than a pig truck to pass on the highway.

They've been kind enough to offer us their campsite, dinner and a cold beverage! Thank you, Robert, crew and here's to the fine things you do!

Tomorrow Ontario. Hurrah!!!

This is Eco1 Over and Out.
