Blackout Day 6: Kakabeka Falls, ON

June 12, 2007

Ship's Log...

We've made a short 36 km day of it and set camp at the provincial park in Kakabeka Falls. We have our next school presentation in town and hope to do it and another in Thunder Bay (30 km) tomorrow.

It's slow going with one gear. Most hills we have to push the EcoRocket up. I don't mind pushing because at least it's something different. Yes...pedalling does get a little tedious sometimes - especially when it's all one gear. Hopefully my patch-up job will hold until we reach a repair shop.

The philosophy book is about done. A cute park ranger gal is going to let me take a look at her library back home during lunch and let me see if there's any thing I'd like. I've always depended on the kindness of park rangers.

End Ship's Log entry...

Hey Ecodudes,

What school did you visit in Kekabeka Falls? Whitefish Valley Public School or Kekabeka Falls District Public School? I've e-mailed you the names of four cycle shops in Thunder Bay.
