Blackout: Vermilion Bay, ON

This is Eco1...reporting in Digital Blackout

We've set up in a hunting cabin in Vermilion Bay after our hardest weather conditions so far. It was rain from start to finish, Skipper. A cabin because it's just cold, wet and rainy and just have to get out of it or go crazy.

Captain Utopia earned it today as it was his day to drive, and no fun in a headwind and driving rain at a 70 degree angle. Thunderstorms? Sure here and there.

Exhausted. Tomorrow we go to Lillian Berg PS for our first presentation in some time.

Met a very interesting man, Michael The Walker. He started walking where we did in early and March and it's amazing he's got this far. He's got another 2.5 months to go before he goes back to school and is going to keep walking. A jolly and thoughtful fellow. He figures if he can walk across Canada, couldn't others walk a little more instead of driving places so much. Y'know, be a bit kinder to the environment.

It's the people you meet along the way that's the good part.

Tomorrow we hope to press on east of Dryden.
