Today was sunny and warm. That was a great relief as cloud and wet brings me down after a number of days and makes it harder to pedal.
The terrain was fairly level with not too many steep hills - I don't mind hills with a low incline. A fellow at the top of a pretty steep hill said, "Bet you didn't think you'd make that one". Like a robot I replied, "That was nothing". Then we laughed.
Sert camp in a nice family campground called Kona Beach. Mostly RV with young families or retirees. I got in early today to do laundry (with soap!), shower, and catch some rays on the pebble beach. Great view of the distant low mountains.
The older guys seem to like talking the most. They go on about how great the island is with one thing and another. They're right.
3 cm of rain is expected for tomorrow.... I hope it's at least hot so I'll welcome the rain. Hope to set camp east of Grand Falls tomorrow.
End Ship's Log entry.
