INCREDIBLE DISCOVERY IN NEWFOUNDLAND!!!! HOUDINI RUMOURED TO BE IN THE VICINITY!!!!
Hello from A/C Cross the dude from the Belleville FD! I was cruising the Trans Canada Highway Highway #1 between Bay Roberts and Saint John's @ 18:30 hours tonight and spotted the big yellow velomobile with Major Dude's blue noggin sticking out of the driver's seat. It being a narrow shoulder of the road and a HUGE hill, I went about 500 metres further along the highway until it was safe to pull over and waited about 20 minutes to see the EcoRocket.... No sign of the EcoRocket!
I then continued to the next off ramp and headed back to Bay Roberts, and retraced my steps to where I had seen Major Dude. I checked the one driveway and all the underbrush and there was no sign of him at all!!!
I was simply amazed that I was unable to locate my friend and do hope to hear from him soon.
Congrats on the hard work Major Dude! I have not seen "hills" and treacherous roads like this anywhere other than the mountains of BC. Breathtaking beauty in the wonderful Province of Newfoundland, as I am sure you will verify, but a challenge to navigate.
It's too bad that Bill missed you. Hope he landed the EcoRocket in one piece at the bottom of the hill! Very close to St John's now. His ETA is Wednesday at 10:00am. There may be some media there to greet him so keep an eye out for him.
