Econaut Hero - Chuck Yeager

Chuck Yeager, maybe the greatest test pilot ever, sure is an Econaut action/adventure hero.

Test pilot, Yeager, in the cockpit of the X-1.
"It didn't make any difference to me whether I thought the airplane would go faster than sound. I was assigned as a test pilot on it, and it was my duty to fly it."
Here's the story about breaking the sound barrier according to Wiki:
Yeager broke the sound barrier on October 14, 1947, flying the experimental X-1 at Mach 1 at an altitude of 45,000 feet (13,700 m). Two nights before the scheduled date for the flight, he broke two ribs while riding a horse. He was so afraid of being removed from the mission that he went to a veterinarian in a nearby town for treatment and told only his wife, as well as friend and fellow project pilot Jack Ridley about it.
What a guy....
